Course objectives
Student will be acquainted with the specific needs and methods of teaching Russian pupils. Future teachers of Russian language will be recommended for professional literature, will be acquainted with specific activities, theoretical and practical procedures for teaching Russian at elementary schools.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to apply this knowledge in teaching Russian within his / her own short presentations in teaching. Students will discuss the problems of the current teacher's profession, the specific needs of the pupils.

  • 1.-2. Didactics of Russian, its subject, goals, tasks. Curriculum.
  • 3.-4. Russian language teaching at lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Curricular backgrounds, goals.
  • 5.-6. Speech skills and their development in foreign language teaching.
  • 7.-8. Foreign language acquisition. Cross-linguistic influence. Transfer and interference in Russian language teaching.
  • 9.-10. Didactic resources. Textbook files for teaching RL at lower secondary school.
  • 11.-12. Preparation for pedagogical practice.
