Course objectives
The students should get an overview of the basic properties of probability to be able to deal with simple problems in probability and descriptive statistics.
Learning outcomes
Having completed the course, the studetns will be able to a) use some basic notions in the probability methodology; b) work with some probability models involving random elements, especially binomial, geometric, Poisson, exponential and normal distribution.
