Course objectives
The aim of the course is that student is able to classify specific educational needs and dyscalculia. Student will be able to diagnose dyscalculia, will be able to describe the most frequent manifestation of dyscalculia in mathematics learning. Student will be able to describe problems of gifted pupils with SEN, to use aids appropriate to remediation.

Syllabus
  • Performing proper diagnostic of the child’s problems from the point of view of its mathematical abilities, skills and knowledge, and its own dyscalculic errors. Educating children with specific needs. Terminology of specific learning disabilities. Forms of some disorders. Classification of special learning disabilities. Definition and classification of dyscalculia. Pupils’ problems in certain subject matter and possibilities of remediation. Partial function disorders. Barriers in communication when solving world problems. Tallented with SRD. Aids and specific needs.
