Course objectives
The aim of this German course is to strengthen and develop the knowledge of German language on level B1 of the European Framework of Reference, with emphasis on all four skills (LV, HV, speaking and writing). At the end of the first year of study, a standardized test is to be passed successfully on the B1+ level, the language skills aimed for at the end of the Bachelor studies are B2 (speaking, writing) and C1 (listening, reading).
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, students will have deepened their language skills enough to pass a test on B1+ level after the European Reference Frame for languages.

  • Topics:
  • 1. First introduction to the subject, getting to know, prerequisites of a good presentation
  • 2. solution strategies for listening and reading comprehension tasks on level B1 +
  • 3. Writing Practice (personal and formal e-mail, discussion posts, notes)
  • 4. topics of Chapters 1-4 of the textbook "Sicher!" B1+!

Teaching methods
Training of skills listening, reading, writing and speaking, reflection of learning and Lösungsstrategien.
Self-study: development of vocabulary and grammar from chapters 1-4 of the textbook "Sicher!" B1+
Assessment methods
The conditions for a successful completion of this course:
1) positive finish homework according to the list in the IS (Interactive syllabus),
2) final test to listening, reading, vocabulary and grammar,
3) 5-minutes presentation.
