Course objectives
The Topical Political Problems. The aim is to broaden students' knowledge of   latest issue (2000-2019) relating to the   history of political theories, European integration. Seminar work, projects and presentations, provide a good basis for the timely and quality seminars in secondary schools.

  • A. History of political theories. Democracy - Platon, Aristoteles, A. de Tocqueville. Czech political thinking. Social treaty- Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau. Existencialism. Christian personalism. Fascism. Totalitarism. liberalism. Critical theory of Frankfurt school. Theory of democracy.Globalisation and democracy. B. European Union.
