Course objectives
History of Logic. The understanding of the basic principles of Logic.
Syllabus
  • History of logic. Aristotles laws. Induction and Deduction (formale and analytic). Explication of the inconsistences in logic: negation, contradiction, inconsistence and paradox. The proposition and the statement. The language of the propositional logic, the principle of the compositionality and the notion of the logical truth. The inference in the propositional calculus. Good arguments and tautologies. The predicat and the basic forms of inferences in the predicate calculus. The subject-predicate statements and sylogistic. Concepts. The meaning of the expressinos of language and the definitions. The traditional and nonclassic logics. The axiomatics and the scientific methods. Algorithms and computers.
