Course objectives
The Topical Political Problems. The aim is to broaden students' knowledge of   latest issue (2000-2019) relating to the   history of political theories, European integration. Seminar work, projects and presentations, provide a good basis for the timely and quality seminars in secondary schools.

  • A. Dějiny politických teorií. Demokracie-Platon, Aristoteles, A. de Tocqueville; teorie demokracie ve 20. a 21. století (R. Dahl, K. Popper, F. Fukuyama, S. Huntington, F. Zakaria). Stát jako společenská smlouva - T.Hobbes, J. Locke, J.J. Rousseau, ale také v liberalismu - J. Rawls a R. Nozick. Člověk jako osobnost (existencialismus, křesťanský personalismus). Kritická teorie frankfurstké školy. Globalizace. Charakter současné krize. B. Evropská unie.
