Main objectives of this course - to understand the basic themes of bioethics.

  • Relation to nature as a philosophical problem.
  • Three pillars of bioethics.
  • Life as the central category of bioethics.
  • Science, research, lifestyle and rights of living organisms (genetic engineering).
  • Environmental ethics, the problem of anthropocentrism.
  • Typology of environment-related ideologies.
  • Welfare of animals.
  • Human life as a specific value.
  • Beginnings of human life (ethical aspects of human reproduction).
  • Health and Disease, Medical and Nursing Ethics.
  • Ethical reflection of dying and death.
  • Use of bioethics in the teaching of Civics.
  • Citizen and health care.
