Course objectives
The goal is to follow the improvement and strengthening of basic communicative skills based on working with text, reading comprehension, oral practice and written expression, listening to the original audio and video recordings in Russian, speaking on selected topics. Students consolidate graphical system of Russian,grammar exercises and translation exercises. A successful learner from this course will be able to: listen and understand Russian texts, write texts, read texts and talk on these topics - see Course Contents.

  • Russian textbook not only for self-learning (15 to 21 lessons) Topics: 1) Hotel. Selection and reservation. 2) Transport in the city. Vehicles. 3) Housing. Where do you live? City. Village. 4) Food. My favorite food. National cuisine. 5) Shopping. Where do like to buy? 6) Health. How do you feel? Healthy lifestyle.

Teaching methods
Students work up homework and within an individual work they elaborate lexical excercises and essays during the study. Students work individually. They continuously read Russian texts.
Assessment methods
Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). The credit requirements: 1)written test from   memorized grammar and vocabulary 2)writing an essay on one of the memorized conversation topics, the latest transfer student essay in last week
