Course objectives
The concept of the course is practical exercises on the morphology of the Russian language. Exercises in their content are related to the courses Russian Morphology 2 (RJ1004) and Russian Morphology 2 - Seminar (RJ1055). Students are expected to work individual with the texts and task groups provided.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- transfer the theoretical knowledge from Russian Grammar into practice;
- analyze the text and identify the phenomena of Russian morphology;
- to compare the morphological system of Russian and Czech.
Syllabus
  • 1. Cardinal and ordinal numbers. Declension of numbers.
  • 2. Declension of numbers оба/обе, сколько/много, полтора/полторы.
  • 3. Infinitive of Russian verbs. Verbs of 1st and 2nd conjugation.
  • 4. Verbal aspect. Formation of aspectual pairs. Difference between verbal aspect in Russian and Czech.
  • 5. Motion verbs. Use of Russian verbs пойти/поехать, сходить/съездить.
  • 6. The mood. Imperative and conditional moods.
  • 7. Active and passive participles (prichastiya). Formation and use of these participles, translation to Czech.
  • 8. Participles (deeprichastiya). Formation and use of these participles, translation to Czech.
  • 9. Adverbs. Formation of adverbs.
  • 10. Comparison of adverbs.
  • 11. Preposition, difference between use of preposition in Russian and Czech (difference between prepositional cases in Russian and Czech).
  • 12. Conjunctions, particles, difference between use of these parts of speech in Russian and Czech.
