Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the basic facts of Russian history from the epoch of Peter I till the end of the 20th century and follows the subject of Russian history 1. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of Russian history in the European context. Great weight is given to the introduction of not-yet-familiar knowledge and facts, to the current interpretation of Russian history.
The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the development of Russian history from the time of Peter I to the end of the 20th century. Students will be acquainted with the basic facts of the Russian history of this period.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to interpret the history of Russia on the chronological axis from the epoch of Peter I to the end of the 20th century in the European context.

  • 1. Catherine II., Foreign policy, culture, philosophy, peasant war: Jemeljan Pugacov. 2. Russia v ~ 1. Half of the 19th century. Alexander I., Patriotic War with the   French, Holy Alliance. 3. Russia v ~ 1. Half of the 19th century. Revolt rebellion, Nikolai I., culture, science. 4. Russia in the second half of the 19th century. Alexander II, reforms, abolition of serfdom, national movement. Russia in the second half of the 19th century. Alexandr III., Foreign Policy, Science and Culture. 5. Russia in the years 1900-1917. Nikolai II. V. Lenin. The transition to   imperialism, the Russo-Japanese War, the Revolution of 1905, Stolypin's reform, Russia in   1. World war, February events, double rule, so-called VŘSR. 6. Assessment methods
Completion of homeworks, final colloquium - written and oral parts. An essential prerequisite for passing the oral part of the exam is to pass a written test within the specified range. The test forms an integral part of the test.
