Course objectives
The course is intended not only for students who have not yet met the teaching of this world language and therefore have no basic knowledge but also for all those who are interested in Russian and would like to get acquainted with this language.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will acquire elementary knowledge of Russian at the level of both print and written Cyrillic alphabet; the student will learn the basics of proper pronunciation and also he will be able to communicate in the basic situations within the discussed topics.
Syllabus
  • 1. Cyrillic alphabet. Russian verbal accent. Pronunciation of Russian words. Letters A, K, M, O, T, П, Ф.
  • 2. Speech polite expressions. Type sentences Kтo это? Что это? Russian letters other than Czech Э, Р, С, У.
  • 3. Grammatical gender in Russian. Letters Б, Г, Д, Ж, З, Й, Ц, Ш, Ы. Pronunciation of vowel Ы.
  • 4. Russian basic numerals. Questions about name and age. Letters В, Н, Х.
  • 5. My family. Constructions with the Czech verb "mít" and their translation into Russian.
  • 6. Letters Е, Ё, И, Ю, Я, ь. Pronunciation of soft consonants. Inflection of nouns: Genitive case.
  • 7. Letters Ч, Щ, Л. Conjugation of Russian verbs жить and работать. Inflection of nouns: Locative case.
  • 8. Conjugation of Russian verbs говорить and знать. Constructions with these verbs. Names of nationalities and states.
  • 9. Inflection of nouns: Dative case. Conversation in Russian by phone.
  • 10. Czech constructions "mám rád", "líbí se mi" and their translation into Russian.
  • 11. Inflection of nouns: Accusative and Instrumental cases.
  • 12. Revision.
