Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the realities of contemporary Russia, its traditions and culture. Provide an overview of the development of painting, music, theater. The aim is also acquiring relations between the study of language and culture and national connotations of the word.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student has an overview of Russian culture of different historical periods, on the international significance of Russian culture. The student can find information, texts and videos on RuNet and functionally use them.

Russian folk music. National musical instruments. 5. Russian classical music. Famous composers of the 19th century. 6. Russian music in the 20th century. Contemporary Russian music. 7. The development of Russian theater until the 19th century. 8. Russian Theater in 19-20. century. 9. Russian ballet. Djagilev's Russian seasons. 10. The development of Russian cinema in the 20th century. Popular Russian actors and Russian actresses. 11. Contemporary Russian films and series. 12. Revision.

Teaching methods
Lectures. Тheoretical preparation during the semester, exercises, tests in IS. Written assignments according to the instructor's instructions.
Assessment methods
At the end of the semester, students take a written test. Upon successful completion of the test, students report to the oral colloquium.
