Course objectives
The goal is to prepare students - future teachers - to perfectly control the theoretical and practical problems of first aid. An important element in teaching first aid at the Department VKZ MU is the use of experiential education. At the end of this course the student will be able to: - Theoretically and practically operate the first aid - To respond in crisis situations - To provide adequate first aid - To ensure their own safety and be aware of the risks associated with the provision of PP
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - to list and describe serious health and life-threatening situations, - to list technical and medical first aid measures, - recognize health and life-threatening symptoms, - diagnose loss of life, - provide first aid layouts in emergency situations.
Syllabus
  • 1. Preventive health care, safe behavior in different situations and different vehicles, including emergency situations that threaten the health of individuals and groups; personal safety of students - how to behave towards each other, the health hazards of games and extra-curricular activities, Act No . 258/2000 Coll. on protection of public health and amending certain related laws 2. First aid: the types of medical first aid, basic types of medical triage, injury prevention (for sports and leisure activities, transport and field, binding to specific age child) first aid (bleeding, large blood loss, respiratory and circulatory failure, symptomatic measures, electric shock, drowning, unconsciousness, seizures and intoxication, injury of internal organs, mozkolebeční injuries, chest injuries and abdominal injuries of the locomotor system, sudden chest and abdominal pain, allergic reactions, wounds, heat damage, damage from cold burns , shock, first aid principles in difficult conditions, the principles of first aid with improvised means) 3.First Aid - Practical part: training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation one and two rescuers on resuscitation phantom; obvazovými work with materials by type of material, handling, positioning and transport 4. Nursing: Medical ethics, access to the patient 5. Principles of medical records: evidence bezinfekčnosti; medical record confirmation of medical records of the camp staff cards, daily medical management, labor health and vaccination record 6. The rights and obligations of health professionals recreational activities: the activities of health before leaving for camp, work out when, on arrival activity - control conditions; medical filter; infirmary equipment, insulation, working with physician patronage; health care obligations for recovery action 7. Protection of public health, basic sanitation and anti-epidemic measures: personal hygiene, daily routine, the relationship of organism and environment, environmental hygiene, removal of waste products, food hygiene (catering), preventing the spread of disease; principles to combat infectious diseases, the measures when they occur , early diagnosis, isolation, quarantine, the most common food-borne infections, infections by air, transmissible diseases, antropozoonózy, contact infections, venereal diseases, AIDS, fungal 8. Basics rescue drowning: differences in drowning in fresh and salt water, rescue and technical resources for their use, ways of helping a disabled swimmers, drowning rescue and first aid in water and, upon arrival at the bank, information on search methods and possibilities of drowning, cardiopulmonary resuscitation is focus on procedures for saving drowning 9. Sorting people in place emergency card sorting method, START, cooperation with the basic components of the IRS 10. Relationship to student health, enhance mental and emotional ties to the issues and develop practical skills that define a healthy lifestyle and future quality of life in adulthood 11. Fundamentals of psychological first aid, management of mass hysteria
