Course objectives
The goal of the subject is to have a deeper think on the mentality of a human in the social context. The critical assessment of a particular work on the social psychology is highly emphasized. At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand and explain well known experiments of social psychology (Asch, Milgram, Zimrdo). Students will be able to propose own experiments to explain the problem questions of social behaviour. Based on the pieces of information gained, the students will be able to predict own behaviour in small and large social groups.

  • 1) The subject and methods of social psychology
  • 2) Social communication in the social psychology. True and lie in the human communication.
  • 3) Traditional researches in the social psychology (Research on conformity by Asch, experiment by Milgram, prison experiment by Zimbardo).
  • 4) Mindsets and their formation.
  • 5) Social groups.
  • 6) Affiliation, attraction, love and partnership relationships.
  • 7) Aggressive behaviour.
  • 8) Prosocial behaviour.
  • 9) Socialization process.
  • 10) Conflicts as way of social interaction.
  • 11) Social psychology topics seen from the point of view evolution.
