Course objectives
The aim of this semminary is to form the general framework of Creative Dramatics as an aesthetical subject, which deals with both learning to be a personality and a member of society, and learning of dramatic skills. The students are introduced to the content and the methods of CD, penetrating the areas of drama and theatre, pedagogy, instruction and psychology. At the end of the course, the students will be able to: Define the term “drama education”. Present a selected book on “drama education”. Discuss the position of “drama education” in the Czech Republic. Interpret selected the literature on the “drama education”.

  • 1. History of Drama Plays and games at school. 2. The roots of Dramatics. 3. The contemporary Creative Dramatics. 4. The pedagogical and psychological starting points of CD. 5. The values and the objectives of CD. 6. The Process Drama. 7. The technics of process drama. 8. The framework of warm-ups and dramatic games.
