Course objectives
The subject deals with theoretical and practical questions of social pathologies and it deeps problematics of negative displays in school enviroment from the bachelory part of studies.
At the end of the course, the students will be able:
- Understand and explain the formation of standards in the society, the functionality of the social system.
- Show the gained knowledge on the field of social pathologies and deviations.
- Project and coordinate prevention intervention programmes.
- Help someone in a difficult life situation.

  • 1. Norm and order in society. Theory of social deviations, definition of social pathology. Social control.
  • 2. Prevention, atonement, repression.
  • 3. Absenteeism.
  • 4. Agression and bullying.
  • 5. Criminality and delinquention.
  • 6. Drugs as an actual thread.
  • 7. Pedagogue and his competentions in the area of social pathologies.
  • 8. Deviations of behaviour.
  • 9. Pathological addictions.
  • 10. Pathology of family.
  • 11. Deviation in life of individuum homelessness, prostitution, suicidality.

Teaching methods
Lecture with individually preparation and study hour.
Assessment methods
Type of course: lecture. Completion: examination. Prerequisites for the course completion: A. NETWORK preventive programs Mapping the network of prevention programs, specialized departments and institutions in the region of residence. Work must include: a / a categorized list (depending on the type of social pathology, depending on the type of prevention), specialized departments and institutions in the place of residence of the student (in the case of small municipalities, it is recommended to handle and surroundings / district, in the event of a large city just part of town) b / brief description of current prevention programs locally, c / depth description of one of the selected prevention program locally. B. OWN prevention program 2. Project primary, secondary or tertiary prevention of a particular social pathological phenomena for use in educational practice (truancy, bullying, delinquency, drug addiction, respectively. Other consultation). Work will include: a / theoretical definition of the phenomenon, the state of the topic, the topicality of the problem; b / project itself, indicating the project objectives, target age groups, environmental implementation, stakeholders, during implementation, material requirements. Emphasis will be placed on teaching during processing, is not required (but possible) calculation of financial costs. The scope of each job: min. 3-4 pages (PC, spacing 1, font max. Size 12 Arial or Times New Roman). The work must, in the case of using professional literature, include references in the text of the scientific literature, and at the end of Bibliography. C. Written examinations in the range of subject areas, which requires a deeper theoretical understanding of the demarcated areas. Important: Students can apply for the exam only if he has drafted and submitted all semester tasks! In the case of project failure benevolence term if the student wishes to take the exam until later in the semester. Technical term MUST be drawn into that data! In the event that no term vocational preparation and submission of the concept of the student complied, not an examination subject and to register in the next year.
