Prerequisites
The subject follows the general theoretical basis from the introduction to physical education by specific methodological examples from the field of gymnastics, fitness and rhythmic exercises, psychomotorics and health physical education. Individual physical activities are presented with respect to the various age and social groups with which the student may work in the future, and also with regard to the different learning environments.

Course objectives
After completing the course the student is able to describe and apply the rhythmic and fitness-based gymnastic activities with music and without music, to use the methodology of selected exercises with equipments and tools, is able to specify the principles of correct posture and apply them to practice. He is also able to assess and select the appropriate activities focusing on the psychic human aspect from non-traditional forms of teaching and non-traditional equipments and tools, leading to the enjoyment of physical movement in the gym, the room and the outdoor environment.
Learning outcomes
The students will be able to understand, explain and use the knowledge of physical education in the area of athletic and gymnastics. They will be able to use the knowledge and skills in the development of physical skills. -The student is able to present respectively motivated worm up -The student is able to present the set of exercises and organise the worm up.
Syllabus
  • 1-2 Basic concepts in the field of gymnastics, health physical education and psychomotorics. Warm up before physical activity - busy and preparation part. Warm up games, guiding principles when performing drills.
  • 3-6 Exercise without equipment, exercises with equipment, exercises on side equipments, modern physical forms with and without musical or spoken accompaniment, stretching exercises and warm up physical activities with emphasis on correct posture, adherence to health aspects and motivation during exercise. Help and spotting during exercise. Exercises in different settings (gym, indoors, outdoors, pitch).
  • 7-9 Health Physical Education - types of weakness, remedies. Compensatory exercises - stretching, strengthening, balance and relaxing. The importance of physical activity for the healthy development of an individual, guidance for proper posture habit.
  • 10-13 Psychomotorics - Theoretical knowledge in connection with the European Forum of Psychomotorics and the breakdown into individual areas. Familiarization with non-traditional equipments and tools in physical education by individual psychomotor areas. New insights into exercises with music, relaxation, mental hygiene, relaxation and tension with feelings in mutual contact. The use of simple traditional and untraditional equipments and tools to teach enjoyment and pleasure of physical movement in individual or group form.
