Course objectives
Specialisation: Somatopaedia 1 Education of physically handicapped children Program of early intervention, cerebral palsy aetiology, forms, differences, specifics of education, special diagnostic of physically disabled, speech of cerebral palsy people, alternative communication, individual plan of education, therapies, professional orientation and work, specifics of work with seniors.
Syllabus
  • Studying areas: 1. Early intervention by children with developmental disorders. 2. Physically disabled child in the pre-school. 3. Laterality diagnostic, amputations, deformations and paresis and their specifics. 4. Diagnostic of school mature of children with ADD/ ADHD and cerebral palsy. 5. Preparation of physically disabled child to enter to school (tasks of family, kindergartens, special counselling centre, rehabilitation units). 6. Special educational centre for physically disabled, organisation, consideration, activities). 7. Education of physically disabled at special schools, subject communicative skills. 8. Professional orientation of physically disabled and chronically ill. 9. Hemi paresis (development of hemi paresis, reflexes, fixed hemi paresis, damage of the hand dominance, asymmetry of hemispheres and speech, body posture and walking, double cognition, disorder of self confidence and development of personality, therapy, prognosis). 10. Diparesis (development of diparesis, reflexes at 6 months, fixed diparesis, therapies, prognosis). 11. Kvadruparesis (development of kvadruparesis, reflexes at 6 months, fixed kvadruparesis, consideration of the disordered cognition, therapies and prognosis). 12. Special educational diagnostic of physically disabled (content, parts of family and personal anamnesis). 13. Special educational diagnostic of the gross motor, educational intervention. 14. Special educational diagnostic of fine motor, educational intervention. 15. Special educational diagnostic of graph motor, drawing and writing of physically disabled, educational intervention. 16. Diagnostic of speech and communication abilities of cerebral palsy children signs of the oral development. 17. Individual educational program of pre-school period (kindergarten, rehabilitation units). 18. Individual educational program of school age (elementary school). 19. Cerebral palsy combined disability (physical dysfunction, mental handicap, epilepsy, speech, communication, senses). 20. Symptomatic speech disorders of children with cerebral palsy. 21. Connection with disordered motor development and speech of children with cerebral palsy (support of development of speech by special teacher). 22. Alternative and augmentative communication, using, meaning, role in the education of physically and multiple disabled. Using of computers. 23. Education of multiple disabled (physical and mental), special schools, alternative programmes of rehabilitation classes. 24. Therapy and the special educational support art-therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, zoo therapy. 25. Medical rehabilitation of clients with disorder of central motor-neuron (Vojtas method of reflexive therapy, Bobaths therapy). 26. Professional orientation of physically disabled pupils, grammar and vocational schools. 27. Work and employment of physically disabled. 28. Supported employment (aims, tasks). 29. Current foreign trends in the care about physically disabled compare with Czech Republic. 30. Compare of integration in Czech Republic and some countries of European Union.
