Course objectives
The course leads the students to understand the etiology and pathogenesis of mental disorders and to describe and classify mental disorders in the areas of consciousness, cognitive processes, memory and attention, emotion, intelligence, will, motivation, acting, motivation and personality. The psychological, pedagogical and social point of view is accentuated.
Learning outcomes
A successful graduate is able to:
• To develop understanding of the basic terms of pathopsychology and psychopathology focused on special education and helping professions
• Present primary categories concerning the challenging and stressful life situations
• Recognize the connection of physical and mental disorders and certain qualitative abnormities in the cognitive domain and the personality
