Course objectives
The student will know the problematics of speech therapy, of communication process and speech development; will gain knowlege of utilization of the instruments and aids used in speech therapy practice. The student will learn more about etiology, symptomatolgy, classification, diagnostic and therapeutical process of the communication disorders.

Syllabus
  • Speech therapy, its conception and interdisciplinary cooperation. Communication process - verbal and nonverbal communication and its importance in our life. The ontogeny of children speech, influence of psychological and social factors. The concept, classification, symptomalotogy, diagnostic and methods of the therapy of particular forms of communication disorders. The utilization of the supports, aids and instruments in speech therapy practice.

Required 70% participation; Written test (it is necessary to successfully cope with 80% correct answers), oral exam. Processing annotations of 5 scientific books that will be recommended during the consultations.
