Course objectives
The goal of the course is to adopt the current concept of terminology in the area of pedagogy of people with autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome, the current understanding of the system of education of pupils with special educational needs, to be aware of the inclusive education and specifics of approaches to people with autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student will be able to:
- have a general knowledge from the area of pedagogy of people with autism spectrum disorders;
- apply the approaches to the education and upbringing of children and pupils with autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome;
- work with pupils with autism spectrum disorders as a teaching assistant.
