Course objectives
The aim of this course is to provide deep information about education of individual with physical disabilities, apply knowledge and specify the support of pupils with cerebral palsy, simulate methods and education of defined group of pupils.
Learning outcomes
• Student will be able to specify the cerebral palsy • Student will be able to choose and describe diagnostics methods and tolls used in diagnostics of individuals with cerebral palsy • Student will be able to explain specifics of the support in individuals with cerebral palsy.
Syllabus
  • • Definition of basic concepts • Classification, aetiology and description on cerebral palsy • Psychomotor peculiarity in MO. • Diparesis development. • Hemiparetic development. • Development of quadruparesis. • Speech disorders in children with cerebral palsy. • Difficulties in food intake. • Special pedagogical diagnostics. • Specifics of school maturity, postponement of school attendance. • Specifics in the learning process of children with cerebral palsy. • Sensomotorics • Specifics of support in education of children with cerebral palsy. • Compensation aids. • Methods of medical rehabilitation (Vojta method, Bobath concept) • Other supportive therapies (exercise on the ball, verticalization training, locomotion, swimming, hippotherapy, canistherapy etc.) • Cerebral palsy as a combined disability. • Consulting services • Interdisciplinary cooperation

Oral exam, elaboration and presentation of a case study focusing on the development of gross and fine motor skills, graphomotorics, writing, sensomotorics etc.
