Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to explain the principles of experiential education, active listening and apply them to teaching of civics, characterize key themes of civics and describe possibilities of their implementation,use educational projects of nonprofit organizations on the topics of civics, explain the problems of evaluation in civics.

Syllabus
  • The problems of humans development and formation of his relation to the society in Civics, integration, Personage and social education into Civics, its determination and methodical processes of realization. Empathy and active listening in classroom. The basic principles and values of democracy – human rights, participation and active engagement in life of the community, state into Civics, integration of the Education of democratic citizen into Civics, its determination and methodical processes of realization. The legal and economical problems – financial literacy in Civics – determination and methodical processes of realization. National and European identity, European dimension in Civics teaching, integration of the Education to thinking in European and global context into Civics, its determination and methodical processes of realization of VMEGS. The problems of multiculturality and education to toleration in Civics, integration of Multicultural education into Civics, its determination and methodical processes of realization of MKV.
