Course objectives
Science and technology news focuses on new technologies and scientific discoveries. The content of the subject is a look at the present, future and trends of science and technology. Emphasis is placed on searching (Internet and printed resources) and presenting news from science and technology. There is mentioned pedagogical and didactic aspect in the field of science and technology as a means of development of technical education.
Understanding current and future trends in science and technology provides a comprehensive understanding of an important element of human society. Overview and orientation in novelties in science and technology, work with Internet and literary sources is an important component of teacher education in technical and information education.

  • 2. science and technology in the Czech Republic and the world,
  • 3. Historical development of science and technology with respect to the present,
  • 4. science and engineering in engineering, architecture, electrotechnics and other industries,
  • 5. energy and energy issues with the sustainability of life on Earth,
  • 6. Information Society, Virtual Reality,
  • 7. novelties of science and technology in various fields of education (teaching and didactic aids),
  • 8. perspectives of science and technology, the future of humanity,
  • 9. ICT, quote and ethical treatment of information,
  • 10. trends and novelties in science and technology with regard to technical and information education.
  • Syllabus of seminars:
  • 1st and 2nd week: Trends in science and technology, science and technology in the Czech Republic and the world.
  • 3rd and 4th week: Historical development of science and technology with respect to the present.
  • Weeks 5 and 6: Science and Engineering in Engineering, Architecture, Electrotechnics and Other Industries, Energy and Energy Issues with the Sustainability of Life on Earth.
  • 7th and 8th week: Information society, virtual reality, science and technology news in various fields of education (teaching and didactic aids).
  • 9th and 10th week: Perspectives of science and technology, the future of mankind.
  • 11th and 12th week: ICT, quotes and ethical treatment of information, trends and news in science and technology.
