Due to limited capacity, it is possible to record an exemption request. The student has his own film camera (35 mm or medium format). The advantages are in the area of ​​basic film photography (negative and positive processes).

Course objectives
In the course VV_ZAF, the students got acquainted with the basic knowledge of the developing process and enlarging of photographs. In the course VV_AFT Analog photography the previous practical experience will be deepened, ie techniques and principles of analog photography. Students will learn the basic principles in the darkroom and will also learn the basic principles of selected photographic historical techniques and their use in their own creation and in the teaching process.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to describe the basic principles of negative and positive process of black and white photography, will be able to apply practical experience in the field of color photography. Students will be able to use all experience in the field of experimental photography and in their own creative process.

  • Reminder of basic principles of negative and positive black and white process. Color negatives. Archiving of negatives. Historical photographic techniques. Experimental photography.

Teaching methods
Compulsory seminar. Practical lessons in the darkroom.
Assessment methods
The course will be completed by credit in the examination period. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars, consultations, presentation of lessons and own photographic project, gallery excursion. Further information will be given at the opening lesson.

The course is taught annually.
Teacher's information
Due to the time required, the lessons will take place in six-hour blocks, six times during the semester according to the schedule. The student obtains his own photographic material in agreement with the teacher.
