Course objectives
The main objective of the lesson is to extend the creativity and practical skills of the student in the field of painting. The student will be led to gradual acquisition of painting techniques and procedures based on a number of practical assignments in the field of figurative painting. During the work he will use the material (paper, fibreboard, wooden boards, canvas) with a suitably prepared base (seps), acquaint with the components of painting (under painting, painting, paint, binders, pigments, solvents, other media) laws, perspectives, harmony, color contrast and basic modeling principles.
Learning outcomes
Student, based on inspirational elements, develops his own creativity and practical skills in the field of painting. The student will be led to gradual acquisition of painting techniques and procedures based on a number of practical assignments in the field of figurative painting. Students will learn how to handle different materials.
Syllabus
  • Students will be acquainted with the material for painting, taking into account the optimal use in the teaching of art education. He will acquire basic knowledge about painting techniques (watercolor, tempera, acrylic, oil). He will know the background for the creation of the hanging image and in the form of practical experiments will examine the individual components and the optical foundations of painting in connection with the given topic.

  • basic working practices and habits, compositional principles, set of practical assignments
  • modeling principles of painting (painting, explanation, combined method, paints mixed on the palette), set of follow-up practical assignments
  • image components (base, undercoats, paint, paint, lacquer, lacquer), tensioning and preparation of canvas, whispering
  • set of practical assignments and preparatory sketches, final painting on canvas
