Course objectives
Students are able to use writing and printing Cyrillic form, read the text with comprehension, communicate in basic-life situations. Students know the basic vocabulary and the basic rules of Russian orthography and grammar.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course a student is able to discuss topics within the subject areas; use the new vocabulary correctly and improved his written and spoken language.

  • 1 - 2. Profession. Interesting jobs and the labor market. Education and employment. Construction type Что бы они ни говорили.
  • 3 - 4. Health is the most expensive. In the polyclinic. Names of diseases. The constructions не тот, не та, не те.
  • 5 - 6. Hotel. Characteristics of hotel types. Imperative.
  • 7 - 8. New technologies. Computers. Internet. Conditional sentences and sentences with particles ли.
  • 9 - 10. Household cleaning. We clean our room. Irregular inflection of nouns.
  • 11 - 12. Weather. Weather forecast. World Parties. Repetition.

Written test on 70 % and interview on studied themes.

The study aids are the teacher's materials located in the Information System of Masaryk University. I recommend regular reading and listening in Russian, watching the Russian-speaking Internet, independent preparation and homework. Students can attend the corresponding courses KRJaL.
