Course objectives
At the end of the course students will master grammar and vocabulary from given lessons of the textbook "Německy s úsměvem nově".
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to: -to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment); -to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters; -describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Syllabus
  • 1. Establishing the vocabulary for the following topics: people and family, living and household, life in the city, educational system. 2. Practice of grammar: the use of articles, declination of nouns, adjectives, and pronouns, comparison of adjectives and adverbs, numerals, prepositions. 3.Systematic development of listening and speaking skills corresponding to the topics dealt with in the class.

Seminar; practice of grammar and vocabulary, reading of texts and conversation to propriate topics. Homework, active independent study.
