Course objectives
Instrument Playing Main aims of course are improvement of students' technical skills and teaching of tone culture and musical expression. How to improvise when playing national folk songs and kunstlieder.
Syllabus
  • Playing instrument – the piano: Playing the cadences 5 types / up-scale, chromatic modulations in all keys, accompaniment - Tonic key–the fifth - in the left hand The basics of improvisation: Accompaniments to 15 songs of the 2nd grade and 10 songs of the 3rd grade A / melody played in thirds and sixths. B / mixed and the general harmony C/ creating the prelude, interlude, postlude in songs D / stylized accompaniment (waltz, syncopated etc.) E / modulations, transpositions to key C, D, Es, E, F, G, A (major) and c, d, e f, g (minor) Execution: 2 compositions of his/her own choice and the technical skill of given student.
