Course objectives
The goal is summary, deepening and drilling the acquired knowledge and skills in practical language exercises and the application the knowledge from linguistic disciplines (lexical and grammar structures) preparation for diploma and final works. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems provided that the topic is reasonably familiar; interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts while accounting for, and sustaining, their views; write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of, or against, a particular point of view.
Syllabus
  • 1. Overall language exercises. 2. Translation procedures: transposition, concentration/diluce, modulation, étoffement, translation exercises. 3. Translations of continual texts. Work with texts from magazines (magazines Le Point, L'Express,). 4. Elaboration of current information from daily papers by means of Internet.
