Course objectives
The aim of the subjecy is to train practical abilities in geology necessary for distinguishing individual rock classes, work with geological map as well as for simplified assessment of Earth crust features for practical purposes. Students will learn practice in educational transformation of geological knowledge into secondary school curriculum. Practical exercises in geomrorphology are focused morfometric processing of basic topograpical maps of Czech Republic.Geomorphological mapping in the field is a part of the subject. Students are able to work with geological and geomorphological maps, are able to reliably detect selected relief parameters based on the evaluation of topographic maps; in the field they are able to distinguish basic rocks and specify their relationships to the relief.
Syllabus
