Course objectives
The aim of the subject is the demonstration of fundamental knowledge of geographical aspects of soil and vegetation study. The indication role of the soil and vegetation fro other environmental components will be enhanced as well as the practical applicability of such knowledge in life and economy. The both subjects will be presented as attractive ones for understanding to secondary school pupils. Students are able to distinguish basic soil features. They are able to discern the basic soil types and kinds and to evaluate them according to their importance for the development of the nature and economic utilizing. Students understand the backgroud of the existence of plant regions of the world and recognize the key plant and animal species representing these regions.
