Course objectives
Didactics of Geography IVdeals with theoretical and practical questions concerning the didactics of other geographical disciplines. The aim of the Didactics of Geography is to apply achieved knowledge and practical skills of general didactics and geography into concrete thematic circles of Geographic Education Curriculum for pupils aged 11 – 15.
Learning outcomes
- On the example of selected thematic units of the curriculum, adapt the content of geography teaching to the requirement to create learning opportunities; - Analyze, create and modify learning outcomes with regard to the requirement of a congruence of objectives, content, teaching methods and ways of evaluating pupils; - Use strong teaching strategies in teaching in the form of research / problem-oriented teaching, project teaching and geographic case studies; - Incorporate strong teaching strategies into the school curriculum.

  • From geographical curriculum to a particular lesson with regard to content of the curriculum in Regional Geography and local landscape.
