Course objectives
Belief (and faith) and knowledge. The basic problems of the philosophy of science.
Syllabus
  • In the actual context there are discussed following problems: Science and belief (faith). The problems of the language expressivity. Paradoxes. Contemporal debate on the nature of truth. The scientific realism. The problenm of existence and metaphysics. The human freedom and the determinism. Reductionism and holism. Cosmology, infinity, the anthropic principle. The nature of the time and the space. The character of the natural laws. Science, ethic, society. Problems of ecology.
