Course objectives
The territory of Czech lands was integral part of prehistory of Europe and the course attempts to bring aspects of interrelations with the Mediterranean, west and east etc, other parts of prehistoric Europe and Midle East, from the Iron Age to the end of the Roman Empire. The course should bring to the stuadnets the basic knowledge of European dimensions of the prehistory of Czech lands from the beginnings of the Iron Age to the beginnings of the Roman period.

  • 1 Landscape and people 2. Periodizaction of the rpeiod, different character in different periods 3. Beginnings of the Hallstatt period 4. Halslatttperiod and teh Scythians, Amber Route, Býčí Skála 5. Trasition from halsltatt to Latene period: Etruscans 6. Early La Tene : Greek and Phoenician imports 7. Invasion to Itasly 8. Middle Latene 9. Balkan invasion 10 Rise of coinage 11, Pre-oppidal trade. Němčice 12. The end of Boi in Italy and the rise of the oppida 13. Oppida and the Mediterrranean 14.
