Course objectives
The aim of the course is to deepen the specialised knowledge of doctoral students and make them familiar with current scholarly topics.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, student will be able to:
- define and utilize current scientific knowledge in the field of archaeology;
- solve serious scholarly issues in a creative way and develop methodological approaches;
- define theoretical models;
- hold a critical scholarly discussion.

  • The course is taught as a series of specialised lectures by top foreign and Czech experts.

Teaching methods
Lecture, discussion.
Assessment methods
Requirements for the course-unit credit: attendance at lectures. About 5-7 lectures will be held within one semester (usually on Wednesday evenings). Successful completion of the course requires the student’s participation in at least four lectures per semester.
