Course objectives
The course is an introduction to corpus research methodology. Students will learn the fundamental concepts from the field of corpus linguistics and study the ways of investigating various levels of language (lexical, grammatical, stylistic, etc.) through applying a number of corpus search tools and techniques. At the end of the course, students will be able to compile their own corpus and conduct basic linguistic research relevant to their further studies.
