Course objectives
In the course, students will acquaint themselves with Renaissance author Thomas Middleton. Through his works, they will examine different genres of Renaissance literature, discuss the their various issues, and gain a better understanding of the contexts of Renaissance literature.

Assessment methods
Students will be expected to write an essay (7 pages, double-spaced). Final grades will be divided in the following proportion: 20% for attendance and class participation; 80% for the essay.
