Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to explain the basic concepts of philosophy of language; provide an overview of the key schools and themes in the field; and rationally justify their linguistic intuitions.

Teaching methods
Seminars, assigned readings.
Assessment methods
There will be three sessions in the term. Students have to attend at least two. At the end of the course there will be a written test focusing on the key concepts and theories covered in the course. The test will consist of 6-8 open questions based on the seminar presentations as well as the assigned readings. To pass, students will have to receive at least 60 per cent of the total number of points.
