Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to recognize different dialectical variants of spoken Lithuanian and fluently discuss (in colloquial Lithuanian) on linguistic topics (e. g. comparison of declension system in Czech and Lithuanian).
Syllabus
  • Main objectives can be summarized as follows: a) to drill on the grammatical issues, presented in the main Lithuanian-course BA306L; b) exercises on the conversation in Lithuanian; c) exercises on the written Lithuanian. Conversation topics: a) Culture: Lithuanian music; b) Culture: literary life; c) Culture: sports; d) Individual and society; e) Lithuanian mass media.
  • Grammar: a) participles; b) determinated adjektives; c) Lithuanian syntax; d) Lithuanian phraseology.
