The course deals with main topics concerning Czech phonetics and phonology, such as the differences between spoken and writen forms of language, methods of transcription, articulation, characteristics of vowels and consonants, basic units of speech and other related topics.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka je ukončena zkouškou. Zkouška se skládá z písemné a ústní části. Písemná část pověřuje: praktické zvládnutí fonetické a fonologické transkripce, klasifikace českých hlásek a základní znalosti z pojmosloví oboru. Po úspěšném absolvování písemné části posluchači pokračují částí ústní; ta je zaměřena na prověření teoretických znalostí disciplíny.
