Course objectives
dr. Urválková: The seminar will focus on analyses of particular texts (poetry, fiction, drama), which will be interpreted using some basic terms of poetics. On reading some theoretical texts we will show different methods of studying a literary text.
mgr. Tlustý: The main aim of the seminar is to equip the students with basic terms useful in interpreting literary texts. The terms of literary theory will be scrutinized in their historical context, i.e. in connection with particular periods in the history of literary science (Positivism, Formalism, Structuralism, Hermeneutics, Konstanz school of Aesthetic Reception). Part of the seminar will also be devoted to interpretation of particular theoretical and artistic texts.

dr. Urválková: Četba stanovených textů, padesátiprocentní účast a esej na samostatně zvolené téma.
mgr. Tlustý: maximálně 3 absence, přednesení referátu, zápočtový test
