Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are: - Familiarization with the problems of literary criticism as a practical discipline between journalism and literary studies; - Familiarization with the methods of literary criticism and its possibilities and limits given practice; - Creation of works from ranks of the literary criticism, their peer review and metacriticism. The seminar will be focused on reading historical texts evaluating literary news (especially new Czech poetry) published in the 70th and 80th of the 20th century and analysis of the methods used in these texts.
