Course objectives
The seminar is aimed at advanced problems relating to stylistics, especially at analyzing texts which to a certain extent do not match with stylistic norms existing within the particular stylistic sphere, the attention being focused especially on the character and function of the particular differences.
Syllabus
  • Besides the topics given below the seminars will include students’ presentations (see the credit requirements). various kinds of manipulative texts and specific features of their style, such as - advertising - political texts - religious texts etc.

Teaching methods
The course consists of seminars which further develop students’ capability to apply theoretical and methodological knowledge acquired in the elementary course in stylistics.
