Course objectives
The course will focus on development of practical skills concerning work with academic texts written in foreign languages (English, Russian, German, Polish) and relating to Czech linguistics, especially on understanding this type of scholarly texts and on creating short English texts (abstracts, summaries etc.) by the students themselves.

  • Z knihy Z. Šestáka je relevantní zvl. kapitola 6 (Čeština a angličtina při psaní rukopisů), doporučení v ní obsažená je však zapotřebí před eventuálním využitím vždy kriticky zhodnotit.
  • Obecně zaměřené učebnice a slovníky příslušných cizích jazyků (např. série učebnic pro samouky z nakl. LEDA, česko-anglické a anglicko-české slovníky J. Fronka apod. - viz také katalogy knihoven; tyto odkazy byly prezentovány už v rámci kursu CJBB70).
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Podmínkou k získání zápočtu je, kromě účasti ve výuce, samostatné zpracování a odevzdání minimálně čtyř úkolů zadávaných během semestru; zadání úkolů bude souviset s probíranými tématy. U každého zadání bude uveden nejpozdější termín odevzdání (obvykle dva týdny poté, kdy bude zadání zpřístupněno v e-learningovém systému Moodle). Zadání odevzdaná po termínu nebudou přijata, odevzdávání mailem je možné pouze výjimečně.
