Course objectives
The starting point of this seminar will be a doubt about aesthetic originality and independence of some of the greatly appreciated works of Czech literature; a question about how much of the work will stand the test if we leave out of consideration the great name of the author which "sells it". The aim is to discover the uniqueness of each authors style as well as the importance of extra-literary (not just political) circumstances which influence the reception of a work of art.
