Course objectives
The course is focused on a deeper case study presentation of the most significant creative minds of Czech literature from its beginning until today. The work of the chosen author will be addressed, analysed, interpreted and evaluated in detail as a whole in the context of the era, Czech literature and culture.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, the student will be able to:
- identify the characteristic features of a given author's work;
- interpret the key works of a given author;
- explain the key works of a given author in the context of their whole output;
- explain the key works of a given author in the context of Czech literature;
- understand the work of a given author in comparison with other literary works from the same area or direction.
