Course objectives
The Ph.D. seminar (alongside with other Ph.D. seminars) is a key theoretical course of the Ph.D. study programme in Czech language. It is a place, where departmental teachers, visiting professors and Ph.D. students of similar theoretical orientation meet, discussing specific linguistic issues. Ph.D. students get thus acquainted with findings of present-day linguistics, improving their knowledge and competences, such as presenting results of their research in front of the scholarly audience, defending their opinions in a scholarly discussion or critically interpreting scholarly sources (mostly written in foreign languages).
Learning outcomes
