Course objectives
The goal of the seminar is to outline the terminology of the studied subject, to make students acquaint with methodological approaches to the analysis of the language (diachronic and synchronic) and with concrete methods of work with lingual material and secondary literature. The program of the seminar is focused on the two of basic attributes of the language - variability in time and systematism. The evolutionary aspect is taken into account especially in the part focusing on dialectal differentiation of Czech, the systematism of language in the part describing fundamentals of structural description of language.
Syllabus

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Předpokladem pro úspěšné absolvování semináře je prokázání znalosti základního pojmosloví oboru, dále orientace v českých dialektech a odevzdání seminární práce (záznam, přepis a rozbor ukázky běžné mluvy, příp. referát z odborné literatury). Požadavky ke zkoušce: úspěšné absolvování semináře, zvládnutí problematiky probírané v přednáškách a seminářích a znalost základní literatury oboru.
